Waitin’ For a Train
Sorry we’ve been absent for a bit. Sid and I have been travelling back and forth between the city and the suburbs this past week for some activities with the family and haven’t spent much time online.
We have, however, spent a decent amount of time in transit or waiting for trains, which Sid doesn’t mind at all since he gets a the steady flow of treats while he’s in his travel bag.
Now put that tongue away so I can zip you up, dude – the train’s arriving!
Tongue-out Temperatures
We’ve had some really sunny and warm weather here in Chicago which has been lovely. And when the sun comes out, so does the tongue. Well, Sid’s tongue I mean.
So many flowers are in full bloom…
…but no time to stop for a sniff today because we’ve got to get this pug hydrated!

Tongue Out Tuesday…Sortof
Sid’s never participated in an official “Tongue Out Tuesday” before and even though he’s giving it an attempt this week, his reluctance is, um, just a bit obvious.
Clearly someone thinks he’s too cool for school.

Can you see it?!
The past few weeks, I’ve noticed Sid sticks his tongue out more frequently. I’m not sure if it’s commentary on the fact that he is only provided two meals each day by his human (like every other dog!) or just a side-effect of his dental extractions this past Spring. It’s very subtle but not easily missed. I know the “tongue-out look” is pretty prevalant amongst pugs. If you recall, Sid’s lady-friend from Brooklyn, Timothy Buttons (affectionately known as T Buttz) had a pretty huge section of surplus tongue that was out pretty much all the time. I guess Sid is trying it out, but only taking baby steps.
Also, sorry that Sid and I have been MIA for the past couple weeks. I went on a week-long vacation while Sid stayed home and worked on his new nylabone. I’m not sure he missed me very much while I was gone as he was spoiled with lots of baby carrots the whole week. We hope to get back on track with more regular posts and comments.
