I Wish I Were a Fish
After reading about Puglet’s new fish friend named Swedish, Sid thought he’d try his hand at being one last thing – a fish. It didn’t turn out so well when he realized he’d have to put his head under water. He was also severely disappointed to discover that what he thought were piles of treats below the surface were just pebbles.
He’s still happy to be a pug.

Hi! Sid. I’ve been following you for a while now, but this is the first time I’m leaving a comment. My name’s Socrates and I live in Brooklyn too! (Fort Greene Park is closer to me, but I also go to Prospect Park.)
My mom told me that yours is the name of a real wise guy from India, and mine is from some Geek guy, who apparently made one too many wise crack, and was put away! (Yikes!)
I hope I can run into you and your folks one day at the park, but my mom’s not at her best in the morning, sigh. So not many chances to make it to the off leash.

Sid you are so brave. I’m scared of the water. I’ll just continue to me mommy’s baby pug.

Bummer, Sid. If those were treats, you would have hit the jackpot. Do you swim? I’ve never really tried, but I don’t think I’d like it very much.
Love,
Payton

Hi Sid
I loves loves loves to swim! I just don’t like loud bubbling crazy warm water. I leave for Lake Tahoe later this week where I will get to swim in the COLD CLEAR lake and chase the lil fishies.

Welcome, Socrates! That is a very apt pug name as pugs are really wise (Sid has amassed much knowledge in the dicipline of treat acquisition). We went to your website and it looks like you have two flat-faced roommates – a frenchie and a boston. We used to live with a boston but she and Sid had a bit of a rivalry.
Marshmallow – We consider Sid our baby, too (even though he’s like in his late 30’s in dog years). Trust us, he’s not as brave as he looks. That water is pretty shallow (we’re too paranoid to let him venture into water that is too deep!).
Payton – We’ve never actually taken Sid swimming. I think it would be a lot of fun. Although, as you know by now, we’re a tad neurotic about our little guy – he’d have to be decked out in one of those dog floatie things if he ever were to set paw in a pool.
