Laziness Finally Pays Off
Today’s lesson: Sometimes it’s good to be lazy.
When the first flowers of Spring start popping up from the ground, my instinct to pack away the puffy coat, boots, scarves, and gloves kicks in. Sweaters are folded up and smooshed into storage bins and short-sleeved shirts and shorts make a reappearance. But this year, I was a little sidetracked with some other projects around the house and I neglected to put away any of the winter gear. Well, sure enough, the winter that wouldn’t die made a final gasp on Monday and dumped some snow (or mini hail balls?) on us. Sid had to break out the fleece again. He was not happy.
Luckily the snow didn’t stick around for too long, but now I think I’ll just leave all the winter stuff out until, oh, say June. Just in case.

I would rather hold my business or freeze my curly tail off than be seen in public in some dorky sweater or jacket. If my humans didn’t gang up on me, I could totally wiggle away and never wear one EVER.

I’m scared to put away the winter gear. By the time it warms up around here, fall will be right around the corner. đ The good thing is the Sid looks very handsome in his fleece!

Yes this is the winter that won’t let go for sure. We have warmed up but the wind just won’t go away. we had gusts of 50 mph the other day. Hope you will see warmer weather from now on!

Sigh. We had the same thing here. But at least to it didn’t hang around long, but we’re leaving the snowboots handy until June too.

You are not lazy. You are smart! Mom’s grandpa used to say don’t shed a thread until April’s dead. Meaning, don’t put away the heavy stuff until May 1. Mom does start stacking the sweaters in a pile to put away as she does laundry but the big switcheroo takes place whenever there’s a free weekend. So probably Memorial Day.
