I’m not a huge fan of the term “velcro dog” but when it comes to pugs, it’s a pretty apt description. Sid almost always joins me in whatever room I happen to be in. Cleaning/organizing the house becomes quite comical as I am usually mad-dashing around from room to room and Sid is tip-tip-tipping around behind me like a little snorting shadow.
He even joins me in the bathroom.
I suppose I can’t fault him for it. Whenever he goes to the bathroom, I’m right there beside him. I suppose he’s just being polite and returning the favor.

Very true! Donald always wants to keep an eye on what I’m doing and where I’m at, but he only follows me into the kitchen. 😉

From the moment we adopted her, Hopper would follow people to the bathroom but patiently wait outside. We feared that this meant she fears the “bath” part of bathroom. Nope, I guess she was simply well taught because she loves having a bath now and then. She just has herding instincts. If all humans present are in the same place, regardless of place or activity, she’s fine. If someone wanders off, she must keep her orbs on them until they return.

Hey Sid!
I totally get the joining in the bathroom– I don’t understand, WHY would we not? I always want to ensure I keep an eye out for my papa, and when I can’t see him anymore, I make my way to him. 🙂 #pugproblems

Our dad is not a fan of three pugs on his lap all day long when he is home from work, our mom says imagine three pugs in the bathroom wif you all the time, he decided the lap was not so bad. we are indeed Velcro dogs.

Bailey and Hazel are less velcro than they used to be, but I more than make up for it. I am all about wherever Mom is at. When she is getting ready for work in the morning I am either sitting between her feet or laying around her feet while I chew my bone.

You’ll never been alone with a pug or three. Tallulah and Petunia get their indoor exercise when I clean, up and down the stairs with the laundry, in and out of the rooms. If they aren’t following me, they are up to no good! I think I’ll be sad when they do stop following me around, especially if it’s due to age.

A pug shadow is the best kind of shadow there is!
