July Flashback

We hope everyone is staying warm. I considered renting a car and just driving south but it’s frigid all the way to Florida. Seems like our friends on the West Coast are the only ones that can go outside with just one layer of pants. Sid and I are faring pretty well – although that sometimes entails us wearing jackets and scarves INDOORS.

I was flipping through some old photos from the adventures we had this past summer: Running around at Winnemac Park, swimming in Lake Michigan at the Foster Ave. Dog Beach, and taking walks that lasted more than 6 minutes.

Here’s a pic of Sid enjoying the nice summer weather at Winnemac Park with one of his favorite plush potatoes.

Think warm thoughts and have a great weekend!

Want to be COOL LIKE SID?

In response to the heat wave that is practically turning everyone’s home into a sweat lodge, Sid and I thought we’d do something fun to take your minds off the oppressive heat.

Something cool…

That’s getting close but not quite COOL enough.

How about THIS COOL?

Whoah. I don’t  know about you but the hair on my arms just stood up.

Sid told me he wants everyone to feel as cool as he feels each and every day so he’s inviting two lucky winners to “BE COOL LIKE SID”.

The two winners will each receive a package of prizes (paw-selected by Sid himself) guaranteed to increase the coolness factor of any dog. Sorry humans, Sid considers us a lost cause.

To enter the give-away, please leave a comment on this post with your name and favorite way to keep cool during the summer.

Sid will pick the two lucky names out of his aviator hat next Friday July 26th.

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!

Today’s Mission

The sky is dark and ominous. Thunderstorms are brewing. Torrents of rain are flooding my alley. I have one very important mission today, and the objective is clear:

PROTECT THE POTATO.

I will not fail…well, unless someone distracts me with a baby carrot.

What is your mission today?

Unpacking

Sid and I are getting settled into the new apartment and Sid’s been very helpful with the unpacking. Well, at least the unpacking of HIS stuff.
