ACTION PUG: The Snow Edition

For all of our readers accustomed to photos of Sid lounging around on his bed in a state of perpetually falling asleep, prepare yourselves for a change of pace.

Today, we present…

ACTION PUG: The Snow Edition

Meet your Action Pug of the day, Mr. Siddhartha “Fancy Feet” Lamont.

Enough with introductions, let’s get to the ACTION!

Um, Sid, while you are technically “in motion” you’re pretty much just STROLLING. The people came here to see ACTION and ACTION is what they shall receive!

Heck yeah, that’s more like it! Can you kick up a little snow? Flying snow = ACTION TO THE MAX!

Well, there you have it. As we have just demonstrated, “Fancy Feet” Lamont is not just a furry potato that eats, sleeps, and poops – he’s also a dynamic, daring, bold, ACTION PUG!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Snowless

Sid has been nagging me to change the masthead for a while now.

He said the background of hundreds of baby carrots was a mixed blessing. Yes, he LOVES baby carrots, but he said he couldn’t stand to visit the blog because it always made him insanely hungry (I suspect a few of you other pug readers felt the same way). So we decided to go with our original vision of changing the masthead along with the seasons.

We headed to Winnemac Park to get an outdoor photo that would capture the season and arctic temps we’ve been having. Much to our dismay the weekend we picked was snowless so the photos failed to convey the “dead of winter” concept (but at least this masthead won’t seem out of place come April, right?).

The lack of snow did allow us more time outside though as Sid isn’t a fan of long walks when it’s 17 degrees out and he can’t get any traction on the icy sidewalks. He preferred the photo above because he has more ‘tude going on. While I thought his tail did look amazing in that photo, I suggested a profile shot. I told him he would appear more “regal” in profile which instantly won him over to the idea.

What do you guys think?

P.S. Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend. Time to get out and romp around a bit, right?!

Finally…Some Snow!

Aside from a little dusting back in December, we haven’t had any proper snow here in Chicago. Sid’s first experience with snow was back in 2010 when Brooklyn was hit with an impressive BLIZZARD the day after Christmas. In case you missed Sid’s adventures waddling through the mountains of snow in his rubber footies, it’s been well-documented.

Last winter was a bit of dud snow-wise due to the unusually warm temps.

So it was nice today when we woke up and saw a decent layer of the fluffy white stuff coating the neighborhood.

Check out those tiny pug feet.

Sid enjoyed his walk through Winnemac Park, though the coating of snow seemed to make it more difficult for him to find the EXACT RIGHT SPOT to do his business. After some extended circling, fly-bys, and obsessive sniffing, he did eventually find the prime location.

I’m hoping we get even more snow – it’s the one thing that makes the winter tolerable!
